We are committed to environmental sustainability in everything we do.
Verint® is committed to reducing our environmental footprint in all our activities and to providing our customers with environmentally friendly solutions and services to help them reduce their environmental impact.
As part of our global sustainability strategy, we:
- Strive to minimize our dependence on non-renewable resources.
- Comply with environmental regulations and accepted sustainability standards.
- Work to establish a global environmental management system that enables us to establish company-wide guidelines and systematically assess our performance.
- Encourage our suppliers to pursue “green” policies and comply with sustainability directives, such as RoHS.
- Educate our employees on environmentally sound practices.
- Monitor our progress to promote ongoing improvement.
We act in accordance with legal mandates and accepted standards and practices.
Verint complies with environmental legislation and directives, such as RoHS and WEEE, in our own operations and the solutions that we offer our customers. We also work to comply with accepted sustainability practices, such as the US Environmental Agency’s Design for Environment, and we pursue environmental compliance certifications.
ISO 14001 Certification. Verint offices in the UK, Israel, and Germany are ISO 14001 certified. In 2010, we plan to pursue ISO 14001 certification for our Melville, New York and Laval, Canada offices, qualifying Verint for worldwide certification.
Reduce Energy Consumption. We work to reduce energy consumption in our facilities through automatic control of lighting, heating, and air conditioning and plan to initiate additional activity to further reduce water and paper consumption. We have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by replacing a vast number of meetings that require air or ground transportation with video and audio conferences. We are reducing use of paper, packaging materials, fuel, and other non-renewable resources by making online downloads of software and documentation available to our customers and by distributing newsletters and other materials electronically, in lieu of postal mailings.
Environmentally Friendly Solutions. Verint solutions comply with accepted environmental standards and directives, including Energy Star, Battery Directive 2006/66 EC-2008, 2005/32 EC EuP, 2009/251/EC DMF, and ISPM15. We market low-voltage, energy efficient solutions that use external power supplies with Energy Star approval, an international standard that indicates significantly lower power consumption than required by government standards. We are currently working toward full compliance with the European Union’s REACH directive (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals).
Design for Environment DfE. We produce and package our products according to DfE concepts , to reduce use of hazardous substances, power consumption, and packaging materials, as well as increase reuse and recycling.
Going forward, we are intensifying our efforts to establish a product and packaging recycling program and reduce resource consumption in all of our facilities. We are dedicated to further reducing our environmental footprint and enhancing the effectiveness of Verint’s sustainability initiative.
