EdgeVR Features
Nextiva® EdgeVR® is a high-performance, IP-based network video recorder. EdgeVR scales to large, distributed IP video operations more readily than analog-based, hybrid NVRs, for greater long-term value and lower migration costs. EdgeVR also
features high-quality imagery, optimized bandwidth utilization, a secure embedded operating system, and industry-leading business and security system interfaces, for superior performance and unsurpassed value.
Superior Video Quality Using Less Bandwidth and Storage
EdgeVR delivers high-resolution images for both recording and live video viewing. Built with a powerful H.264 video compression engine, EdgeVR provides superior video quality — up to 480 frames per second of recorded video or up to 960 fps with an external IP video input — at significantly lower bit rates. This reduces your storage and bandwidth requirements and can significantly lower cost of ownership and operation.
Hybrid Analog/IP Option to Ease IP Video Migration
With EdgeVR, Verint® eases migration to IP video operations. Available with a hybrid analog/IP video option, EdgeVR can support up to 32 IP and analog video cameras. EdgeVR is also fully integrated with Verint’s award-winning Nextiva multi-port video encoders, wireless edge devices, and IP cameras. These intelligent edge devices feature Verint’s industry-leading encoding technology for superior imagery and optimal bandwidth utilization.
Ideal for Large-Scale Video Operations
Built on Verint expertise from more than 70,000 DVR implementations, EdgeVR provides the reliability, scalability, and flexibility that large-scale operations need:
Superior reliability. EdgeVR has a Linux embedded operating system and mature application firmware for high availability.
Flexible storage options. EdgeVR storage options include RAID 1, a removable hard disk drive, up to 8 TB of space, and multiple recording schedules.
Centralized video viewing and management. EdgeVR is compatible with Nextiva Vid-Center for enterprise DVR video viewing and Nextiva Op-Center for enterprise DVR management. You can use Nextiva Op-Center to centrally manage all of your Nextiva EdgeVR, NetDVR II, and MicroDVR II solutions and Nextiva Vid-Center to view video from all of these devices in various locations, with up to 16 views per screen.
Programming capabilities that meet your organization’s needs. This high-performance network video recorder lets you set different resolutions, frame rates, and image retention for general surveillance, motion detection, transactions, and alarms.
Industry-leading interoperability. EdgeVR offers the industry’s leading interfaces to security and business systems: ATM, Point of Sale, teller, alarm, and more. These interfaces help ensure the smooth flow of information among these systems, increasing situational awareness and expediting response.
Ease of use. Users can search for and view video by time, date, transaction, or event. Day-at-a-glance, week-at-a-glance, and motion-based searches help users quickly pinpoint video of interest.
EdgeVR supports VGA, composite or DVI outputs, with one monitor used for quad or full-screen display and the other for full-screen sequencing.
